Waiting for anything has to be one of the worst things in existence, especially if you don’t possess the patience of a Saint.
NASA sent their New Horizons Spacecraft on a mission to Pluto over 4 years ago, and they still have a 4 year wait to see if their mathematics departments are any good with coordinate calculations. From birth until completion, it will take Airbus Industrie about 9 months to build their A380 behemoth of the sky. Even for the perfect pint of Guinness, you have to wait 119.53 seconds!
Poker players from around the world have had to wait 111 days for the next stop on the GSOP Live Tour, but the opener of the second season has definitely been worth it. Allow us to show you how it’s done, Manchester style!
The players begin arriving in England tomorrow and will be staying at the historic 4-Star Midland Hotel. Charles Rolls met Henry Royce here back in 1904 and 2 years later, Rolls-Royce was born. Perhaps more amazing friendships and partnerships are yet to be made here? Possibly this week?
In the evening, the players and their guests are invited to the prestigious venue of Sakura, for a night of luxury hosted by Ongame. With entertainment continuing until the wee hours of the morning, it’s a superb way to kick off Season 2 of the GSOP Live.
Day 1 action will commence on the 3rd August with an abundance of quality from previous seasons on show. James Keys (2011 Aussie Millions Runner-UP) will be here , Toni Ojala (Season 6 EPT Barcelona 6th Place) is in attendance, GSOP Live Final Table addict, Morten Mortensen is back, and GSOP Live Malta winner, Janos Katzenberger is also gracing England with his presence.
If that isn’t exciting enough for you, then what I’m about to tell you, should surely blow your mind. Each player qualified on Ongame is cordially invited to the Paul Scholes Testimonial match on the 5th August and will be able to see the superstar quality team of Manchester United, take on the American Major League Soccer team, New York Cosmos. I must warn you though, Eric Cantona will be playing for Man Utd, so you may not want to have pitchside seats.
With an amazing action packed week in Manchester planned, you can catch all the action inside and outside the rail, here on the GSOP Live blog.
